Portal Jello Shots
Repulsion and Propulsion gels added a new level to Portal 2 and now they can add a new level to your geeky drink night!  Kristina Ackerman of KnuckleSalad.com created jello shots that are sure to delight many a test subject.
Blue Portal Jello ShotsIngredients:1/2 cup lime sherbet1/2 cup water2 envelopes Knox gelatin2 oz blue curacao1/2 cup ginger ale1/2 cup gin
Directions: 1. Melt sherbet in a medium bowl.2. Place water into a small saucepan and sprinkle 1 envelope of the gelatin on top. Let it sit for about a minute, then heat slowly over low heat, stirring constantly, until gelatin has completely dissolved. Add to sherbet bowl, along with 1.5 oz (1 shot) of the blue curacao. Cover and chill.3. Place ginger ale into small saucepan and sprinkle the other envelope of gelatin on top. Let it sit for about a minute, then heat slowly over low heat, stirring constantly, until gelatin has completely dissolved. Add gin and remaining curacao, cover, and chill.4. Wait 20–30 minutes, until the sherbet mixture has begun to solidify and the gin mixture has just thickened. Stir both, then pour the gin mixture into a loaf pan and drop spoonfuls of the sherbet mixture in, swirling it with a spoon to create a gloppy marbling effect. Cover and return to fridge until fully set.5. When set, slice into the desired shape.

Let it sit for about a minute, then heat slowly over low heat, stirring constantly, until gelatin has completely dissolved. Add to sherbet bowl, cover, and chill.3. The Portal Two (Portal 2 cocktails)
Ingredients:Blue CuracaoVodkaLemonade CointreauRum Orangina Small tumblers
Directions: “This drink is, of course, designed to resemble the two coloured portals from the excellent sci-fi puzzle game. For the blue version, get a small tumbler and pour in 10ml of Blue Curacao, 10ml of vodka and top up with lemonade. For orange you’ll need another tumbler, this time filled with 10ml of Cointreau, 10ml of rum and Orangina. If you fancy, you can jazz the glasses up with coloured sugar rims. Simply pour some sugar into a sandwich bag with the relevant food colouring, shake them up, pour the resulting mix into a dish and dip your tumbler in. “You can mix the portals together if you like,” says James. “It’s a very orangey flavour, which we thought tied in with The Orange Box, the compilation in which the original Portal appeared.”
The finest beverage breakthroughs from the Aperture alcohol research labs. Drink them in the name of science. You monster.
